Former socialist minister Marisol Touraine calls for a vote for Macron

Si Emmanuel Macron is not yet a candidate for re-election, he already has the necessary sponsorships to do so, and a whole host of other major political supporters. Saturday February 19, it was the turn of Marisol Touraine to call to vote for the current head of state. The former Minister of Health under François Hollande granted an interview to the Parisian and said: “I will support Emmanuel Macron. […] The useful and responsible vote is Emmanuel Macron. He is the only one who has the solidity to face challenges and carry a positive vision of the future. »

Marisol Touraine believes that Emmanuel Macron is best able to block the far right. The former socialist minister does not see the left strong enough to accomplish this mission. Without adding to the Anne Hidalgo case, which is subject to a lot of criticism in addition to a very low score in the polls, Marisol Touraine explained that “the PS (had) not been able to use the last five years to bounce back and bring new ideas” and that En Marche seemed to him to be the best alternative to allow “social-democratic diversity” to express itself.

Ségolène Royal chooses Jean-Luc Mélenchon

On the left, Ségolène Royal has chosen another alternative to the PS: that of Jean-Luc Mélenchon. But Marisol Touraine does not want to hear about it: “I am consistent with my story, my commitments. I have never been on this radical left, ”she explained to the Parisian.
