Mezger-Haefeli started as a program assistant in the early 1950s and shortly afterwards became a program announcer, as SRF wrote in the obituary published in the “Tages-Anzeiger” on Thursday. Mezger-Haefeli made her first appearance as an announcer in 1953. In the meantime, Mezger-Haefeli appeared on stage as an actress.

Moderated 1000 shows

In the 1970s she returned to television and hosted the show “Da Capo”. The programs “Seniorama”, “Treffpunkt” and “Lipsticks” followed later. After presenting over 1,000 programs, Mezger-Haefeli retired in 1996.
