Formula 1: Ferrari in the spotlight in Vegas!

by Dorian Madala (iDalgo)

Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) won this Friday in Las Vegas (1:35.265) during free practice 2 ahead of Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) (+0.517) and Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) (+0.528). Although the race finally ended, an incident disrupted the first free practice sessions. Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari suffered significant damage following an impact with a manhole cover on the circuit. The Spanish driver managed to pull himself together to place his team’s two cars at the head of the race but will leave with ten additional places on the grid on Sunday for having changed components.
Despite the prestige of the circuit, some drivers locked their wheels or slipped on a more than brilliant track. On the French side, the Alpine drivers, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon managed a 15th and 16th place.
