The Dutchman went for a new victory by taking advantage of the abandonment of Charles Leclerc, in the lead before being the victim of mechanical problems.
Full card for the Red Bull team which offered a double at the Spanish Grand Prix this Sunday. Max Verstappen signed the victory in front of his teammate Sergio Pérez. The Dutchman scored twice by taking the lead in the Drivers’ World Championship.
George Russell completes the podium at the wheel of a once again competitive Mercedes. Charles Leclerc was ideally set to win but, while he was leading the race after 27 laps, his Ferrari experienced a mechanical problem (loss of power) forcing him to retire.
Carlos Sainz, 4and by overtaking Lewis Hamilton on the last lap, saving the day for the Ferrari clan. Esteban Ocon (7and) and Fernando Alonso (9and) are back in the points after a very difficult start to the weekend.
