(Boursier.com) — Forsee Powerthe French expert in smart battery systems for sustainable electromobility, joins the Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium (SBMC) founded by Honda Motor, KTM F&E, Piaggio Group and Yamaha Motor to develop the use of two-wheelers and light electric vehicles and encourage more sustainable battery lifecycle management.

Now a member of this Consortium, Forsee Power actively participates in the various committees for the definition of the future battery standard.

A consortium of world leaders to reduce CO2 emissions in the transport sector

As the global electrification effort to reduce CO2 on a global scale gathers pace, the intent of the two-wheeler industry is to expand the use of electric versions. To achieve this, several challenges must be met, such as extending range, reducing charging time, lowering vehicle and infrastructure costs.

The SBMC was launched by world leaders Honda Motor, KTM F&E, Piaggio Group and Yamaha Motor who have come together to accelerate the deployment of two-wheelers and light electric vehicles (LEVs). The consortium’s ambition is to foster industry-wide standardization of batteries and their ancillary systems, the infrastructure for such common-use batteries, and to ensure that two-wheelers and light vehicles retain their role in future mobility.
