“Forsthaus Rampensau” starts in December. John Friedmann and Florian Simbeck alias “Erkan & Stefan” then celebrate their reality TV premiere.
John Friedmann (52) and Florian Simbeck (52), who became known as the comedian duo “Erkan & Stefan”, will soon be seen together on TV again. They are candidates for the new reality show “Forsthaus Rampensau Germany”, which will be shown on Joyn Plus+ from December 8th and will consist of seven episodes. The two will take part in a reality format for the first time.
“As reality novices, we have a lot of respect for the loss of privacy,” the two explain in a statement. “The worst thing would be if everyone was just stupid. There’s little you can do with people like that.” But despite all the concerns, curiosity won out and they are now looking forward to “good mood, humor and esprit in the Rampensau forestry house”. In addition to these two, Joyn has also confirmed other candidate duos.
Accordingly, party hit singer Jasmin Herren (44) and her partner Philipp Bender as well as the models Gina-Lisa Lohfink (37) and Elsa Latifaj will also move into the Forsthaus. Men already had one at the beginning of September Interview with “Bild” about taking part with her new boyfriend: “If Philipp no longer feels like being in public after the show, that’s fine. We haven’t even had an argument yet. Maybe that’s it in the forester’s house.” The six other celebrity pairings have not yet been announced.
A total of 18 candidates will live in a self-catering forestry lodge at an altitude of 1,300 meters and complete games based on knowledge and skills. The German edition has a role model: “Forsthaus Rampensau” is considered Austria’s first celebrity reality TV show and is already on the ATV channel received two seasons. Couples move into an alpine hut in the Carinthian mountains and fight for the title “Rampensau” and 20,000 euros in prize money.
Success as a comedy duo
John Friedmann and Florian Simbeck celebrated success as “Erkan & Stefan” in the 1990s and 2000s. They weren’t just on comedy stages with live programs. In 2000, the comedian duo’s first feature film, “Erkan & Stefan” (directed by Bully Herbig), premiered. The comedy received a Bavarian Film Prize and the rating valuable from the German Film and Media Rating FBW in Wiesbaden. This was followed by the sequels “Erkan & Stefan against the forces of darkness” (2002) and “Erkan & Stefan in Death Comes Krass” (2005). Then the two of them increasingly separated themselves from these roles. In 2018 they once again walked the red carpet of the “German Comedy Prize” award ceremony in the style of their cult characters “Erkan & Stefan”.
