The scientist, Origin and The visitor are thus swallowed by this substance, while Paradigm manages to escape. A mysterious substance appeared on the island in Fortnite Chapter 3 – Season 4: Paradise. Chromium will consume everything. Submit to Chromium by changing Chromium structures, transforming yourself into Chromium, and harnessing the power of Chromium weapons.
GO THROUGH THE WALLS
Wood, stone and metal are no match for chrome. An enemy has built a defensive structure? Launch a chrome sprinkler on the walls to make them passable. Jump through constructions and surprise your opponents!

KEEP IN SHAPE
You can’t defeat it, you just have to adopt it. Use a chrome sprinkler to transform into pure chrome for a limited time to become immune to fire damage and… liquefy when you sprint. This liquefied form has several advantages. It allows you to move faster, be immune to fall damage and perform aerial dashes. Rush on any construction to chromify it and cross it!
IT’S CHROME AT HOME
Chrome hasn’t just invaded points of interest, it’s created a new one. Climb to the top of the honorable hexagonal tower of the Herald Shrine (near the Abandoned Sanctuary).
GET HIGH
For fear of chrome, some places on the island seek refuge in the air, in particular Condo Canyon, renowned Cloudy Condos. Attack from the air with this expanding point of interest. How to get there ? Use a directional thrusteravailable at different places on the island, to gain height.

Speaking of weapons, sniper headshot damage and multipliers have been increased in general (even stored snipers). Snipers and acrobatic shooters will be pleased to learn that now a single shot could be enough to send a player back into the lobby. Keep a cool head, aim straight and eliminate your opponents with a single bullet with certain snipers (even in Zero Construction)!

THE KEYS TO SUCCESS
Changing into chrome isn’t the only way to unlock your potential. You have a good chance of find keys on the island. Use them to open vaults containing loot! Low security vaults open with just one keywhile high security vaults require two (but contain more loot)! Where are these vaults located? After obtaining at least one key, lock icons will appear on your map to guide you.

Are enemies attacking you? Deploy powerful defenses quickly with the Pocket Bunker, replacing the Pocket Fort this season. Launch the pocket bunker to create a one-by-one square structure with reinforced metal walls, a multi-purpose ramp, gates, and defensive tires to ward off attackers. No construction necessary!

Form an eclectic team to enjoy paradise. By purchasing this Season’s Battle Pass, you immediately unlock The Paradigm (reality 659)…if you want to support chrome haters. Progress through the Battle Pass to unlock Spider Gwen and the following characters:

Chromium supporters need not worry: The Herald can be unlocked later in the season!

NOTES ON COMPETITIVE MODES
- Firefly Jars and Shockwave Grenades are not available in competitive modes.
PROHIBITED MATERIAL
Beginning this season, players who use prohibited devices that provide or are designed to provide a competitive advantage may receive an in-game warning. The player must then remove the hardware in question and relaunch Fortnite in order to play. Any attempt to circumvent this ban will be punished with a permanent ban from Fortnite. The list of prohibited devices includes, but is not limited to, the Cronus Zen and the Cronus Max.
