For many years, players playing as a team in Fortnite have a chance to restore teammates who have been knocked out on the pitch. This is done, as you know, through recovery vans, scattered here and there on the map. All you have to do is pick up the teammate’s recovery card and interact with these vehicles to return them to the battlefield in their simplest guise, equipped with a gun, but Epic Games could make some significant changes.
It’s not the first time that rumors have gone in this direction, but this time more details about the potential changes have been revealed, via a leak. Thereby, with the rework of the establishment vans, the card of the eliminated player will be automatically added to the team’s inventory and it will no longer be necessary to go and collect it. However, restoring a teammate will have a cost, given that it will be necessary to spend gold, if the leak is correct.
As reported on in the past, Epic are still working on an updated reboot system:

These changes will undoubtedly change the way of playing as a team, since some might not have enough gold to allow their teammate to return to the battlefield. However, this problem should only arise at the start of the season, since after a few games, the stock of gold should be sufficient. It remains to know the cost of these restorations.
Epic Games should communicate about this fairly quickly, especially if these changes are made as soon as the new season of Fortnite.
