To complement Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode update and Creative mode update, Epic Games naturally released an update for Save the World mode. This focuses on a new source of Battle Pass EXP, but also, and above all, on the winter season, with, from November 21, the return of the Winter Festival and the Heroic Heroes modifier. Challenges will be part of the game to obtain many rewards.

BATTLE PASS EXP UPDATE
In Update 22.40, we added a new source of Battle Pass EXP in Save the World! Indeed, the majority of basic daily and weekly quests now award Battle Pass EXP upon completion, such as the activities below:
- Daily Martial Games (plus weekly Peaceful Grasslands Challenges)
- Ice Night Daily and Weekly Challenges
- Daily Dungeons
- On the Road Daily and Weekly Challenges
- The new daily stamina quests
Since we’ve reallocated the majority of EXP sources to quests, you’ll notice that Mission Badges grant less EXP. However, players should now earn EXP faster than before. In order to maximize the gain of EXP, complete the daily and weekly quests available first.
THE WINTER PARTY ADVENTURE SEASON IS BACK!
The Winterfest Adventure Season starts on November 21, 2022 at 1 a.m. (CET) !
The return of the Winterfest also brings the return of the Heroic Heroes modifier, which greatly enhances your playstyle. Ice Night.
soldiers, it’s the perfect modifier to strengthen your headshots! Their damage is doubled and you receive reduced cooldowns when killing Husks with ranged weapons. Accuracy is crucial!
Builders, you know how painful it is to have to consume your hard-earned materials to build structures. This modifier eases that pain a bit! Building costs less materials, plus you get reduced cooldowns when you activate Kinetic Overload and your impact damage is increased.
ninja, this modifier pushes you to master a mix of melee attacks and skills. Focus on kills with skills to increase your melee attack damage and attack speed. Take advantage of this, as your melee kills also reduce your skill cooldowns. Harness this synergy for optimal efficiency. You also get double the Stealth Stance stats, so get in on the action and show them what the Ninjas are up to.
Adventurers, it will hit. Anti-Material Charge has no cost during this Adventure Season. As for BEAR lovers, you get a free shard every 50 seconds and get increased skill damage
Everybody will also face colder winter winds, which increases the Hulks’ resistance to traps and weapons. Gather a foolproof platoon!
ICE NIGHT CHALLENGES ARE BACK
COLD GRASS CHALLENGE
From the November 29 at 1 a.m. (CET), take up the Frosty Lawn Challenge! The climate has cooled down considerably. Avoid walking in the snow and take care of your traps, which recharge more slowly. Once you complete this challenge, you unlock Tank as well as a unique banner:
SURVIVE THE BITE COLD OF ICE NIGHT
From the November 21 at 1 a.m. (CET), go on an adventure and feed the burner with Bleulith. If it empties, it will get very cold, very quickly. As burner life decreases, the storm shield shrinks, so fill it up.
The Krampus Smashers that inhabit these icy regions are dangerous, but fighting them yields valuable bluestone. Check your quest log for Icefall rewards, like the loading screen or music pack, and stay tuned for weekly challenges in the coming weeks.
HOLIDAY LAMA
This llama looks cold from the outside, but it’s packed with holiday heroes and weapons that are sure to warm hearts in the base. The Holiday Llama returns on November 21 at 1 a.m. (CET).
ZENITH, MASTER OF COLD
“We’re going to chill them. – Zenith, Master of Cold Zenith, Master of Cold’s standard perk, Freezing Shot, causes sniper rifle critical hits to apply water infect. The Commander Advantage Freezing Shot+ additionally allows you to freeze enemies. You can also decrease the duration of elemental status effects with the Easy Dispel Team Perk!
MAJOR BUGS FIXES
Several major bug fixes are included in the 22.40 update, including these:
- The Plasma Discharger is now considered a “launcher” type weapon.
- Fixed the Dynami-head perk of The Gravedigger rifle in Sunshine having higher damage scaling than intended.
- Note from the developers: This fix is not intended to decrease weapon damage, but to fix the damage issue that was affecting players later in the game.
- Brain is now compatible with the Trick or Treat perk.
- Fixed wild animal overlapping keystrokes being incorrect.
- Remark : These keys must be set outside the mission. We are currently working to fix an issue preventing players from setting keys to ride a wild animal during a mission.
