Update of 03/30:
Finally, Epic Games made the choice to do not reintroduce the constructions, since the Zero Construction mode has become permanent, at least until the end of the season, it would seem. Builds remain, however, active in competitive game modes.
A few months ago, rumors announced thatEpic Games was working on a no-build modewhich was more or less confirmed with the arrival of Chapter 3 Season 2. Since its launch, and for a few days, construction will be prohibited, forcing players to fight their way out. Nevertheless, constructions will come back very soon in Fortnite (normally).
When will constructions return in Fortnite?
It has been indicated that builds were going to be removed for nine days in Fortnite. This was introduced to go along with the battle royale lore, but the devs are actually experimenting here (see below). Thus, according to the information provided, constructions will be back in Fortnite on Tuesday, March 29probably as a result of a content update.
During this period, constructions remain active in competitive modes.
Will a no-build mode be coming to Fortnite?
We don’t know if a no-build mode will be available in Fortnite after they’re returned to the game, but no doubt the developers have set up these few days without this feature for testing. Many players don’t really get involved in the battle royale because of these builds, preventing fights, as another part of the community builds whenever they sense danger.
If these constructions have real advantages, especially for joining higher games, fans of FPS and other shooting games did not find pleasure in launching Fortnite. If the feedback from these few days in construction is positive, a permanent mode, similar to the battle royale, could see the light of day. They may even be removed for good in the long term… We’ll know more in a few days, but for the moment, it seems that many players are having fun without these opportunities to build in Fortnite.
