On March 20, developers at Epic Games integrated a brand new game mode into their battle royale, Fortnite. Indeed, patch 20.00 had introduced certain changes in the title’s meta by excluding all forms of construction, temporarily at first. But it was available long enough to be appreciated by players.
A permanent mode without construction in Fortnite
During the event, the dataminer Hypex had made a most interesting discovery in the title files: according to him, this mode without construction would become permanent, thereafter. And, we can now say, he was right.
Indeed, Fortnite permanently introduces zero build mode, starting this Tuesday, March 29. And as the name suggests, it is no longer possible to erect various platforms or infrastructures.
Available in Solo, Duos, Trios and Sections, this mode highlights the shooting, movement and object management capabilities of the players. Note that each of them will have, from the start of the game, an overshield that recharges. No longer able to hide or protect themselves from their enemies behind walls or other constructions, they will have to adopt new playing habits and will have to establish new strategies.
