Fortnite’s new ‘living’ llamas are disturbing the community

Reduced for a long time to the status of inert loot items, the Llamas of Fortnite took on life in the previous chapter. They are animated, and are now able to flee when shot at. To compensate for this little added difficulty, Epic Games also gave them the power to scatter utility rewards behind them. Except that a growing part of the community thinks that it is insufficient, and that hunting the Lama is not really worth it anymore.

It is the editor CorbinMar who set fire to the powder with a post listing the flaws of the new llamas. Rather difficult to kill, llamas flee when they see you, and cause you to run long distances. Distances over which you must spray them with all your arsenal, which makes you very visible and vulnerable. Worse yet, the amount of ammo expended is often the same as what you’ll pocket once the llama is neutralized.

Defeat your llama like a pro

Despite these criticisms, Llamas remain prime targets in pro games. Competitive players have no trouble coordinating to circle and kill the llamas quickly. The key is to take advantage of the stuns they experience intermittently, to strafe them in the head, and benefit from the damage multiplier. Your best ally in the llamas hunt? A well-oiled submachine gun.

We know when the next Fortnite patch will arrive! More than a month after the last update which was devoted to Christmas, Epic Games returns with a very large piece. Dataminers believe that the upcoming 19.10 patch will be very rich in new features.
