The community creation tool serves as a reminder to design circuits and share them with other players, allowing you to vary the pleasures to infinity. EventLab 2.0 brings new quality of life improvements and asset creation tools to help players create the maps, races, and game modes of their dreams in Forza Horizon 5. Here’s a look at what’s new features:
This new multi-selection mode will allow you to grab a number of individual props and then rotate, move, or even duplicate them. You’ll be able to save and reuse any group of props you’ve assembled at any time, making your creative process faster and more efficient.
Multi-selection will also allow you to clone, move and delete props as part of a mass selection, reducing the time you spend creating courses for events.
Prefabs are an assortment of accessories combined to create a new accessory. You can save any prop you’ve created as a Prefab and share it with the entire community.
This also means you can browse and use other players’ creations to incorporate into your own maps. In addition, you can favorite your favorite and most used accessories to find them even faster.
Previously, when creating a new event on EventLab, the promotional flyer was automatically generated based on the car restrictions you set. This meant that other players didn’t see what your event looked like until they decided to download and play it.
All that changes with EventLab 2.0. You can now replace the predetermined flyer with a photo of your event. This allows creators to better represent their EventLab action plan. For you and your friends, it will now be easier and faster to discover new fun events to play.
New features deserve a new place to experience. EventLab Island is a brand new place designed specifically for creating EventLab content. It is a 2km x 2km flat concrete platform surrounded by the ocean.
Because EventLab Island is a separate location, you’ll be able to add more props to each event you create there with a larger prop budget.
EventLab Island is accessible via its own icon on the game map. Click on it and you will be transported to the island. Find the activation point and start creating!
The EventLab 2.0 update wouldn’t be complete without new accessories, and we’ve introduced new accessory packs that you can integrate into your custom maps. These accessories include a gas station with signs, a coffee cup, pumps and roofs, a variety of primitive shapes like a cone, cube, cylinder, pyramid, sphere, torus and wedge, and different surface types like snow, ice, grass, asphalt and dirt. You can also stylize your checkpoint markers with different styles, including different street racing rocket colors.
Some of our existing accessories have received fixing nodes so that they are easier to move and, above all, to assemble. There are three different node sizes: small, medium and large. The original nodes included in the Hot Wheels content were “large” and designed for Hot Wheels track pieces, while these new smaller sized nodes will work much better with smaller accessories.
Additionally, EventLab 2.0 allows you to set the exact time and weather conditions while creating your map. This means you’ll see your creation in the exact conditions you want players to experience it. For example, if you want to design a night race, you’ll see how it looks as you build it.
