Forza Motorsport announces a huge surprise, it’s heavy

Aside from gameplay mechanics, a key element in racing games like Forza Motorsport is cars. And as such, here is an enticing list.

Forza Motorsport, expected on Xbox Series and PC on October 10, promises to be the next behemoth of the racing game. To generate interest, Turn 10 Studios continues to showcase its amazing collection of vehicles. The game intends to offer a range of 500 vehicles, of which 100 are new. We expect in particular magnificent Japanese models and a sublime French creation.

Forza Motorsport is stocking up… on cars!

Turn 10 has enriched its racing simulation with the addition of vehicles from different manufacturers and eras. Eight of them will mark their first appearance in the franchise:

  • The 2023 Nissan Z
  • The 2020 Audi RS3 Sedan
  • The 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition,
  • The 2020 Toyota GR Supra
  • The 2019 BMW Z4 Roadster
  • The 2019 Nissan 370Z Nismo
  • The 2018 Audi TT RS
  • The 2017 Alpine A110

If we note a predominance of German and Japanese models, a French pearl stands out: the Alpine A110. A true jewel of France’s automotive heritage, equipped with a 252 horsepower 1.8-litre 4-cylinder TCe engine, it boasts exceptional lightness and remarkable design. This 2017 version, already integrated into Forza Horizon 5, is a tribute to the emblematic Alpine A110 of the 1960s and 1970s, crowned in particular at the Monte-Carlo Rally. Quite a story… It will be in good company with its “big sister”, the 1990 Alpine GTA Le Mans, already announced in the game. A real delight for lovers of fine French mechanics. No offense to the haters who swear by German cars.

beautiful promises

There’s more to Forza Motorsport than simply adding vehicles. One of the key highlights is the overhaul of its damage system. In a world rich with licensed cars, there’s no point in hoping for Burnout or Wreckfest-style damage. However, the bodies will show marks and scratches after impacts, particularly on metal parts and rims. Dan Greenawalt, head of Turn 10, has ensured that ray-tracing will also be constant in Forza Motorsport, including in real time. That’s pretty impressive, especially since a title like Gran Turismo 7 doesn’t offer this feature on an ongoing basis. With ray-tracing, vehicles will mirror themselves on other bodies, offering an exceptional visual rendering. In addition, new tracks will be added to the list, accompanied by improved versions of iconic circuits such as Maple Valley Raceway or the unmissable Spa Francorchamps of Forza Motorsport 5.

What do you think of this nice list of vehicles?
