After a bomb from World War II had already been found on Monday, the alarm went off again yesterday. A 50 kg bomb was found around 2:20 p.m. in the Welas Park shopping center in Wels during dredging work on the Westbahn tracks. A 100 meter restricted area was raised. Trains stood still Train traffic had to be stopped from 2.50 p.m. to 3.10 p.m., ÖBB said when asked by the “Krone”. And not only that: Air traffic also had to be temporarily diverted. Part of the Welas Park car park has been cordoned off. The demining service defused and removed the bomb.
