fun, news, tips… what else?

Over the years, we adapt our care routine. But should we also change the way we wear makeup? We answer you.

Years pass, our skin changes and it’s completely normal. From the age of 25 years approximately, our skin cells decrease their production of collagen, the protein responsible for the elasticity and tone of the epidermis. The more the years pass, the more our skin begins to mark. Fine lines and wrinkles appear especially on the forehead, eyes and mouth. To delay the effects of time on the skin as much as possible, we advise you to adapt your skincare routine as well as possible. What about makeup? Should we change our habits?

It is not uncommon to hear that after 50, we should abandon our foundation in favor of a more sober, more natural makeup. But what is it really? Magali MarxClarins make-up expert, shared her best make-up tips with the editorial staff of Beauty Test. Here’s what she advised about foundation.

A moisturizing and luminous foundation

According to Magali Marx, after 50, you change your foundation, but you can absolutely keep this step in your make-up routine. “Of course, you have to choose your foundation carefully, both hydrating and luminous, preferably lighter than darker » she clarified. Moisturizing foundations will indeed be more comfortable throughout the day and better for the skin. Also, it is important not to be mistaken undertone when choosing foundation. There are three different undertones: pink, beige and neutral. Tip for determining your undertone if you don’t know yet: look at your veins! If these appear bluish, you have a pink undertone, if they are green, you have a golden undertone, finally if you have trouble knowing, you have a neutral undertone.
