When does Foundation season 2 start?

Apple TV+ has revealed the start date for Season 2 episodes. At the July 14, 2023 will launch the first episode of “Foundation” Season 2 on Apple programming. After that, one of the weekly ten episodes in total published. You can see the finale on September 15th.

After her crash, Gaal found a spaceship that had also crashed in the ocean and rescued a woman from it. The woman turned out to be her daughter Salvor. Her daughter gave Gaal renewed hope.

There will be a time skip of more than a century in Season 2. Meanwhile, tensions continue to rise across the galaxy and the Cleons begin to unravel. Herein a vengeful queen sees her big chance to destroy the empire from within.

At the same time, Hari, Gaal and Salvor discover a colony of mentalics with psionic abilities who threaten to alter psychohistory itself.

All of this is happening against the background that the Foundation is now entering its religious phase. At least this was proclaimed by the Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach, making the Second Crisis, in the form of a great war, almost inevitable.

“Foundation” Season 2: Cast

In Season 1, viewers were treated to Jared Harris, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann and Lee Pace. In order to capture the impressive scenery in “Foundation”, Season 1 was shot on several European islands. The volcanic landscapes were captured on Malta, Fuerteventura and Tenerife. The chance that the shooting took place there again this time is high.

Since Asimov’s book series is impossible to fit into two seasons, there’s a good chance that the series will be renewed after the following season as well. Showrunner David. S Groyer commented: “We’re playing with Foundation for the long haul and I’m grateful to my partners at Apple and Skydance for trusting me with this epic. Buckle up. We’re about to fold a lot of space.”

Groyer hopes to produce about 80 hours of footage from the book series of the same name. If the episodes last one hour as before and the further season(s) also have ten episodes, that would mean that there would be a total of 8 seasons.
