The Fountaine Pajot Group, one of the world leaders in the manufacture of pleasure boats, publishes its turnover for the 2021/22 financial year (from 09/01/21 to 08/31/22).

A solid business in a complex environment

For fiscal year 2021/22 (from 1

September 2021 to August 31, 2022), the Fountaine Pajot Group achieved revenue of €219.8 million, up +8.6% compared to the same period in 2020/21.

This solid growth was made possible by:

• The consistency of the order book, which respects the major geographical balances: the entire Group is consolidating its international development with

  . Thus, Fountaine Pajot recorded good momentum in Europe with 38% of sales, activity in North America represents 18% of sales and major exports 23%. The financial year was also marked by a strong rebound in the Caribbean zone (+131%), benefiting from a return to growth in fleet sales to professional rental companies.

• The quality of the ranges of boats offered: throughout the 2021/22 financial year, the catamaran activity is supported by the Elba 45, the Samana 59 and the Alegria 67 for sailing and the MY6 for motor. As far as the monohull segment is concerned, the Dufour 430, 470 and 530 are very successful. The sales mix in favor of the largest units is thereby reinforced.

This growth, which was less than expected, was hampered by difficulties (supplies, recruitment) arising from the post-covid recovery.

Prospects and development

During the 2022/23 financial year, the Odysséa2024 corporate strategic plan will be devoted to:

• Development of the ODSea Lab platform (Observe, Design & Save) in order to design and assemble the boat of tomorrow for carbon-free navigation. The Aura 51, the first Fountaine Pajot model equipped in its Smart Electric® version with electric motors and an onboard energy management system, made its first miles at the Cannes Yachting Festival;

• Renewal and strengthening of the Dufour and Fountaine Pajot ranges with the launch in September 2022 of the new Dufour 37 monohull, as well as the Aura 51 in sailing catamarans;

• Upward extension of the Fountaine Pajot Catamarans range with a new 80-foot flagship in preparation for summer 2023;

• Reinforcement of recruitment actions, in order to meet the strong demand: over the financial year the Group plans to recruit 150 new employees, relying, in particular, on its internal training school, but also on the subcontracting contract concluded with the Couach shipyard, bringing a new resource of qualified personnel.

The strong order book anticipates another year of sales growth which will benefit from new models, including the Aura 51 shortlisted for the “European Boat of the Year” award and the award-winning all-new Dufour 37 monohull “Design Innovation Award 2022” at the Genoa Boat Show.
