Fountaine Pajot has reserved a nice Christmas present for its shareholders. The manufacturer of pleasure boats has published, for its 2020-2021 financial year, which ended at the end of August, a net profit up sharply by more than 60% from a 17% growth in its turnover, despite a first half hampered by the health crisis. The group has been able to use its strengths, particularly its capacity for innovation and the acceleration of its production rate.

These performances allow the company to return to its pre-crisis levels. In detail, invoices amounted to 202.3 million euros, gross operating surplus reached 32.9 million euros, up 54%, while net income exceeded 11.6 million (+ 63%).

Resumption of boat shows

Fountaine Pajot has also been able to preserve and even strengthen its financial structure. As of August 31, cash flow generated by its activities amounted to € 61.8 million. The working capital requirement was lowered to 37.8 million euros, boosted by the level of customer down payments received.

Anxious to take advantage of the resumption of boat shows, the designer of catamarans and monohulls unveiled three new models, including the Tana 47, which will be presented next spring, and the Dufour 32, which has just been awarded Sailboat of the Year by Sailing Magazine. The group also intends to respond to the challenges and demand of its sector. To do this, it announces the recruitment of more than 150 people.

The action gained nearly 6%, to 140.80 euros.
