While Marvel’s Wolverine is the victim of a new leak, other future PS5 / PS6 exclusives were revealed before their time on the Web. And that concerns four huge titles from an excellent studio.
Several days ago, Insomniac Games’ servers were hacked and a lot of data was stolen. The hacker, who had tried to extort money from the studio, finally dumped everything on the Internet. As a result, other massive Marvel’s Wolverine leaks are currently circulating. For now, employees’ personal information, which was also stolen during the hack, still appears to have been preserved. But for how much longer? Employees must hope that the culprit is found before he reveals this sensitive data. But these new leaks which only focused on Marvel’s Wolverine are in reality much broader. Indeed, a whole series of PS5 – even PS6 – games have leaked.
A massive leak of PS5 / PS6 exclusives
The developers of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would certainly have done without this unfortunate event which reveals all their future plans for the coming years. In addition to new information about Marvel’s Wolverine, four unannounced Insomniac Games PS5 games have been leaked. No details on all of these titles are available, but we at least have the names and release windows. Be careful if you want to keep the surprise.
Will Insomniac Games be able to maintain the crazy pace of development that the studio has had until now? Presumably, yes. Between fiscal year 2025 and 2030, teams would already have four PS5 games on their roadmap. If the conditional is appropriate, it is because the calendar is never really fixed and has perhaps already evolved. For starters, Insomniac reportedly intends to produce a Venom game scheduled for fiscal year 2025.
Then, it would be the turn of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 for fiscal year 2028, followed by a new Ratchet and Clank for fiscal year 2029. Note that these two PS5 games had already been mentioned a few days ago . Finally, and this is the biggest surprise, an X-Men project is in the works with a launch during the 2030 fiscal year.
Several Insomniac Games games have leaked on the Web
If we summarize, Insomniac Games therefore has Marvel’s Wolverine, Marvel’s Venom, Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, a new Ratchet and Clank and Marvel’s X-Men in the pipeline. But for now, we have to be careful because we don’t really know the status of these projects and what’s more, not all of them are necessarily intended for the PS5.
Indeed, in view of certain release windows, it is not excluded to think that certain games will be PS6 exclusives. For what ? During Call of Duty negotiations to keep the license on Sony consoles, Microsoft explicitly cited next-gen. “The duration of the contract would go beyond the launch period of the next generation of consoles (in 2028). So Call of Duty will be available on future PlayStation consoles if any of them are released during the term of the deal. An agreement that will guarantee parity between PlayStation and Xbox for CoD games ». In an internal document, Sony also spoke of a 2028 release for the PS6… at least.
Four Insomniac PS5 / PS6 games in the pipeline? It’s already huge… and it’s not over yet! If we are to believe the previous leak, which is still very recent, a Marvel’s Spider-Verse game could also be under study. According to theories, it could be the studio’s multiplayer software. So it’s worth seeing, but with all that, it’s Marvel fans who will be happy. On the other hand, others risk deploring the absence of a new license in the coming years. But who knows what the future holds?
