Did you find the GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition impressive? Admittedly, this does not call your judgment into question, but NVIDIA has (or had) in mind a much bigger graphics card.
Quad-slot design, stacked connectors
Mentioned on various occasions without anything official having really filtered, the card in question would logically be an even more powerful model than the RTX 4090 and several sources have already mentioned the names of RTX 4090 Ti or Titan to use terms already used by NVIDIA.
The most recent photographs published around this absolutely colossal card confirm what had been previously announced, namely the complete occupation of four PCI Express slots with a particularly imposing heatsink.
The card thus illustrated adopts a PCB reference PG137. This one looks very different from what we saw on the RTX 4090 Founders Edition as evidenced by another photo: the display connectors are stacked and not side by side.
18,176 CUDA cores and 800 Watts of TDP
Beyond the strict photos, this new rumor relayed by Videocardz is an opportunity to take stock of the characteristics – assumed, it is important to keep this in mind – of this RTX 4090 Ti / Titan.
This is how a TDP of 800 Watts is referred to when the RTX 4090 caps, in the worst case, at 600 Watts. The GPU of this Titan would have 18,176 CUDA cores and 48 GB of video memory. It would also be the first NVIDIA card to take advantage of 24 Gbps GDDR6X modules.
If the release of a Titan model would not be surprising given NVIDIA’s history in this area, no official information attests to the existence of such a product. Looking at the photos, a quad-slot design was thought of by NVIDIA, but has it since been abandoned or is it a card yet to be revealed?
