Four years after the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, Vanessa Bryant remembers her dead family members with a photo.

On the fourth anniversary of her death, Vanessa Bryant (41) remembers her late husband, basketball star Kobe Bryant (1978-2020), and their daughter Gianna (2006-2020). On January 26, 2020, the two died in a helicopter accident; Gianna was just 13 years old at the time.

The US athlete’s widow shared a father-daughter photo of the two of them at a game on Instagram. The 41-year-old added two heart emojis to the post. Among other things, basketball colleague Matt Barnes (43) commented on the photo with hearts and designer Rachel Zoe (52) wrote “Forever and ever.”

Bryant’s former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, also published the photo with his daughter on the anniversary of the former basketball guard and forward’s death. “Forever” is written in the post with a purple heart emoji – one of the Lakers’ jersey colors.

Kobe Bryant left behind his wife and three children

In the tragic helicopter accident in Calabasas near Los Angeles, alongside Bryant and his daughter, seven friends were killed. As People reports, the helicopter crashed into a hillside, likely due to pilot error, according to an investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board. In addition to his wife, the basketball legend also left behind three daughters Natalia (21), Bianka (7) and Capri Kobe (4).

Kobe Bryant was considered one of the most successful and best basketball players of all time. He played for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA throughout his professional career from 1996 to 2016. To carry on the legacy of her late husband and daughter, Vanessa Bryant runs the charitable foundation “Mamba and Mambacits Sports Foundation”which supports disadvantaged child athletes.
