Française de l’Energie: record annual turnover and new objectives















(Boursier.com) — The French Energy posts an annual turnover of 26.2 ME, a very strong increase for its 2021-2022 financial year (July 2021 to June 2022). It grew by +156%, driven by a sharp increase in production volumes and favorable market prices during the second half of 2022.

The gas production activity remained very dynamic over this financial year. Associated revenues thus more than tripled to €11.8 million, supported by a further increase in volumes produced (+8%) and an average market selling price of €46.70/MWh in 2022 (+218 %). Revenues related to electricity production doubled to reach 12.9 ME (+97% compared to 2021), driven by the increase in the Group’s production capacities. Revenues from the sale of heat at Béthune and Creutzwald also doubled to 363 kE in 2022 (178 kE in 2021). The Cryo Pur subsidiary dedicated to liquefied biogas (Bio-LNG) and Bio-CO2 contributes to the group’s turnover to the tune of 1.1 ME over the 6 months of the 2022 financial year. Several projects in Europe are underway contracting to produce Bio-LNG and Bio-CO2 using Cryo Pur technology.

New objectives for 2026

FDE confirms that it is ahead of its annualized objectives of 35 ME in turnover with an EBITDA margin above 45% by the end of December 2022.

These new 2026 objectives revolve around 3 key indicators:
– A reinforced environmental contribution with more than 10 Mtonnes of CO2eq emissions avoided per year;
– Strong organic growth in order to achieve an annual turnover of more than 100 ME; and
– A continuous improvement of its profitability with an Ebitda exceeding 50 ME.
