France close in on semi-finals after win over Montenegro

Les Bleues beat the Montenegrins 27-19 this Sunday, November 13, in Skopje, for their first match of the main round of the competition. The opponent promised to be tough, who had finished well ahead of his group with three clear victories. Only three countries had filled up during the first round of this Euro: Montenegro, Norway and France.

Olivier Krumbholz’s team was able to count in particular on its goalkeeper Céopatre Darleux, author of twelve saves. The points accumulated in the first round counting for qualification for the final phase, the French women’s handball team already has a foot and a half in the semi-finals. It will meet Germany on November 15, and Spain the following day.
