PARIS, May 2 (Reuters) – Thales and CS Group announced in a joint press release on Monday that a consortium they lead has won a contract worth 350 million euros over 11 years from the French Ministry of the Armed Forces for the supply of an anti-drone system, called Parade.

The consortium “has been notified by the General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) for the creation and deployment of the Parade anti-drone combat capability for a total amount of 350 million euros over a period of 11 years, including 33 million firm to date”, it is specified in the press release.

This system will notably enhance security during the Rugby World Cup in 2023 and the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.
