France: foreign exchange reserves fell by 8.9 billion euros in January

(Boursier.com) — Official reserve assets and other foreign currency assets amounted at the end of January 2023 to 228.704 billion euros ($247.755 billion) against 237.682 billion euros ($253.512 billion) at the end of month of December 2022, i.e. a decrease of 8.978 billion euros, by integrating the impact of the valuation methods at the end of month exchange rates.

State reserves break down as follows:
– Gold reserves: 138.037 MdsE an increase of 4.376 MdsE
– Foreign currency reserves: 45.861 MdsE down from 13.211 MdsE
– Claims on the IMF: 42.819 MdsE down 202 ME
– Other reserve assets: 1.987 MdE, an increase of 59 ME.
