PARIS, Oct 17 (Reuters) – The French Minister of Economy and Finance, Bruno Le Maire, ruled on Monday that the attitude of the CGT – which continues to block several refineries and fuel depots of TotalEnergies despite a majority wage agreement, was “unacceptable” and “illegitimate”.

“There are majority agreements that have been concluded at Total. In a democracy, including in a social democracy, it is not the minority that dictates its law to the majority”, declared Bruno Le Maire on BFMTV.

“It is unacceptable and it is illegitimate” to continue the blockages as the CGT does, he estimated. (Writing by Myriam Rivet, editing by Kate Entringer)
