France-Germany: a last important gathering for the Blues before the start of the Euro

A gathering with a particular flavor for the French team, perhaps more important than the others since it is the last before leaving to compete in Euro 2024 in June, in Germany. Being called this time is therefore a rather good sign. An element that Didier Deschamps does not hide from the players.

“The idea is to have additional answers about each of the players”

“All the courses are important. This one a little more because it is the last one before the list that I will give. So obviously, it is better to be there. Which does not mean that those absent from today will not be there tomorrow. But, if everyone is well, there are many who are there today and who will be there in May.”

The injury to Antoine Griezmann, pillar of the Blues, opens the door to other players. Even if, as Marcus Thuram says: “A player like Antoine cannot be replaced. He is unique in his kind, because of what he brings to Atlético Madrid or to the French team.” The coach will therefore have to find solutions.

And Didier Deschamps, exclusively for Europe 1, recognizes that he should do some tests during the next two matches: “Adjustments, yes, on the tactical aspect, technical relationship too, different offensive animation. And a “from a general point of view, the idea is to have additional answers about each of the players.”

More than a friendly match, the clash against Germany will undoubtedly serve as an evaluation for the Blues staff, with a view to the Euro. Several positions should be monitored, at the forefront of the attack, in midfield or even in the right lane of defense.
