France: Heavy rain in Paris, flooded metro stations

PARIS (Reuters) – Heavy rains fell on Paris at the end of the day on Tuesday, causing flooding in some metro stations.

On Twitter, the RATP thus indicated that on line 4, the Porte d’Orléans station in the direction of Bagneux was not served due to bad weather, before announcing the reopening of the station to the public half an hour later. .

On line 9, the RATP also said that the Alma Marceau station had been completely closed due to flooding. On this line, traffic has since resumed.

Météo France on Tuesday placed eight departments on orange alert for the risk of thunderstorms in the south of France. The departments of Aude, Aveyron, Bouches-du-Rhône, Gard, Hérault, Tarn, Var and Vaucluse are thus concerned.

Gard and Hérault are also placed on orange alert for flood risk by Météo France.
