“I deny anything that could be akin to inappropriate gestures”, he underlined, while a left-wing activist, Sophie Tissier, announced on Twitter that she had seized the monitoring committee against gender-based and sexual violence on Sunday. of La France insoumise.
She explains that she wants to “encourage” her “testimony attesting to the unacceptable behavior of Eric Coquerel”. She claims in particular to have suffered the “displaced assaults” of the elected official in 2014 during the Left Party’s summer universities.
Eric Coquerel said he disputed this report, “contradictory over time”.
In a column published in Le Journal du Dimanche, the elected representative of Seine-Saint-Denis already rejected “unfounded rumors” and claimed to have “never exercised physical or psychological violence or coercion to obtain a report”.
Eric Coquerel, elected head of the Finance Committee on Thursday, was implicated by name on the same day on RTL by activist Rokhaya Diallo, who claims to have “several sources” on his behavior with women.
