(CercleFinance.com) – The current account deficit (cvs-cjo data) stood at -3.6 billion euros in January after a deficit of 7.6 billion in December, according to INSEE.
The improvement in the current account balance is mainly due to the fall in the goods deficit due to the reduction in the energy bill (-7.8 billion euros in January against -9.4 billion the previous month) specifies INSEE .
In addition, the services surplus increased by 1.0 billion euros to reach 3.7 billion.
