France: New car registrations +11.5% in June, according to the PFA


PARIS (Reuters) – New car registrations in France rose 11.5% in June, the Automotive Industry Platform (PFA) said on Saturday, giving the French market growth of 15.3% overall. of the first semester.

Last month, 190,848 new private vehicles were registered in France, the PFA said.

Registrations of the Stellantis group – Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat and Jeep in particular – rose by 4.9% over the month, while those of the Renault group – Renault, Dacia and Alpine – fell by 7.8%.

100% electric models – at the head of which the Peugeot e-208 and the Tesla Model Y, the eighth best-selling car in France over six months – represented 15.5% of registrations over the half-year, in constant progression, against 38% for gasoline, stable over one year, and only 10.6% for diesel, whose erosion continues.
