France-New car registrations down 22.58% in April-PFA


PARIS, May 1 (Reuters) – New car registrations in France fell by 22.58% year on year in April, according to data released on Sunday by the Automotive Platform (PFA).

It registered 108,723 passenger cars in France last month, the PFA reported. April had 20 working days this year, compared to 21 in 2021.

Registrations of new cars from the Stellantis group, which notably includes the Peugeot, Citron, DS and Opel brands, fell 29.26% last month compared to a year earlier.

The Renault group (Renault, Dacia and Alpine brands) saw its registrations in France decline by 20.96% at an annual rate in April. (Edited by Camille Raynaud)
