France-New car registrations up 9.24% in January-PFA – 01/02/2024 at 01:55


Registrations of new cars in France increased in January by 9.24% at an annual rate, according to data communicated Thursday by the Automobile Platform (PFA).

122,285 private vehicles were registered in France last month, the PFA reported. January had 22 working days this year, like the previous year.

Over the whole of 2023, the market recorded an annual increase of 16.07%, with 1,774,729 registrations.

Registrations of new cars from the Stellantis group

STLA.MI, which includes the Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Opel brands, jumped 20.02% last month compared to a year earlier.

The Renault group (Renault, Dacia and Alpine brands)

RENA.PA saw its registrations in France increase by 0.44% at an annual rate in January.
