France: Official foreign currency reserve assets fell in January

(Boursier.com) — France’s official reserve assets and other foreign currency assets amounted to 209.146 billion euros ($222.092 billion) at the end of February 2023, compared to 228.704 billion euros ($247.755 billion) at the end of February 2023. the end of January 2023, i.e. a decrease of 19.558 billion euros, by integrating the impact of the methods of valuation at the exchange rates at the end of the month.

State reserves break down as follows:
– Gold reserves: 133.467 MdsE down from 4.570 MdsE
– Foreign currency reserves: 30.758 MdsE down from 15.103 MdsE
– Claims on the IMF: 42.305 MdsE down 514 ME
– Other reserve assets: 2.616 MdsE an increase of 629 ME.
