France: PPI boosted by electricity in November


(CercleFinance.com) – In November 2023, production prices in French industry (PPI) increased significantly over one month (+1.5% after -0.1% in October), due to the increase in prices electricity, and decrease excluding energy (-0.5% after -0.1%).

INSEE, which publishes these figures, specifies that the prices of products intended for the French market are increasing sharply (+2.4% after virtual stability in the previous month), while those intended for foreign markets are decreasing (-0.6 % after -0.1%).

Over one year, production prices in French industry fell in November for the fifth consecutive month (-0.5% after -1.5% in October), and were almost stable excluding energy (+0. 1% after +0.6%).
