PARIS, March 26 (Reuters) – National Rally candidate Marine Le Pen says her third run in the presidential election this spring will “a priori” be her last if she fails to enter the Elyse.
In an interview with the Journal du Dimanche, the MP for Pas-de-Calais said she intended to continue to “defend the French”, even in the event of defeat in the election, the first round of which takes place on April 10.
“A priori, I will not represent myself. But I will continue to do what I have been doing for years, namely to defend the French. I do not know what position but the one where I will be the most efficient”, declares the one who bowed facing Emmanuel Macron in 2017.
In the polls of intention to vote two weeks before the election, Marine Le Pen is at this stage in the best position to find the outgoing president, given as the favorite, in the final. (Report Elizabeth Pineau)
