(CercleFinance.com) – In March 2024 in France, production decreased over one month in the manufacturing industry (-0.5% after +1% in February) and in industry as a whole (-0.3 % after +0.2%), according to data adjusted for seasonal variations and working days from INSEE.
Production fell particularly in capital goods (-1.1%), coking and refining (-4.6%), while it rebounded strongly in transport equipment (+2.3%) , in particular those other than automobiles (+3.7%).
Production for the first quarter of 2024 as a whole is slightly higher than that of the same period in 2023 in the manufacturing industry (+0.4%) as in industry as a whole (+0.3%) .
