PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The business climate in France deteriorated in January for the second consecutive month, according to data published Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Insee).
The synthetic indicator of the business climate in France lost 2 points in the first month of the year, to settle at 107, after 109 in December. However, this indicator is well above its long-term average of 100.
This decline is mainly due to “the further deterioration of the general outlook in services,” said INSEE.
The employment climate stabilized at 110 in January. It thus remains well above its long-term average of 100, said INSEE.
