PARIS, Sept 22 (Reuters) – The French government has decided to apply a floor price of 3 euros for the cost of sending books purchased online for less than 35 euros in purchases, BFM Business reported on Thursday.
Beyond 35 euros of purchase, the Ministry of Culture leaves the floor of 0.01 euros in place, indicates BFM Business, citing AFP and the minister’s office.
In December 2021, the government adopted a law defining a minimum shipping price for books purchased online in order to favor independent bookstores.
