France to launch 30-year inflation-indexed bond – lead managers – 01/24/2022 at 12:41

Jan 24 (Reuters) – France on Monday mandated a banking syndicate to issue a new 30-year inflation-linked bond, memos from three chiefs seen by Reuters show.

The new bond, which will mature on July 25, 2053, will be indexed to the harmonized index of consumer prices excluding tobacco in the euro zone, these documents specify.

It will be issued “in the near future, depending on market conditions”, an expression often used by issuers on the eve of the placement of the securities.

The banking syndicate mandated by Paris brings together BNP Paribas, Citi, Crédit Agricole, JP Morgan and Société Générale, specify the notes.
