This text, under consideration by the National Assembly in October, should give birth to the France Travail network, including Pôle emploi as the main operator, to better coordinate the actors of the public employment service. The news site Blast claims that this development “will personally benefit Pierre Ferracci”, father of Marc Ferracci, as well as the latter, which he denies. “There is no subject,” he told AFP.
“False” assertions according to the principal concerned
Pierre Ferracci, at the head of the powerful Alpha group of advice to works councils, has indirectly become the “main private operator of Pôle Emploi” and his activity will grow with France Travail, according to Blast. But Marc Ferracci assures that these assertions “are simply false”, the Alpha group having no activity or alliance concerning the job seekers’ placement markets for Pôle Emploi, or tomorrow France Travail.
Close to Emmanuel Macron, the deputy (Renaissance) of the French of Switzerland and Liechtenstein for a year was previously special adviser to Muriel Pénicaud at the Ministry of Labour, where he inspired work orders and the first reform of unemployment insurance . Towards a withdrawal?
In a letter to the President of the Social Affairs Committee of the Assembly Fadila Khattabi, reproduced on Twitter, the PS deputy Arthur Delaporte and the boss of the group Boris Vallaud ask him to “immediately seize the ethics officer” of the institution so that this “rules on the existence of a conflict of interest or a risk of conflict of interest”. In the meantime, they plead for a withdrawal of Marc Ferracci from his function as co-rapporteur of the “full employment” bill.
Deploring an “instrumentalization” by “opposites from all sides” who do not have “credible proposals to lead France towards full employment”, the person concerned indicated that he had already seized the ethics officer on Wednesday, upon his appointment as co-rapporteur, to “leave no hold to suspicion”. Marc Ferracci “will take his opinion into account”. “Particularly sensitive to the issue of conflict of interest”, he had already planned not to intervene on the part of the bill devoted to France Travail, but on that dedicated to the rights and duties of job seekers.
In a press release, the President of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet stressed that she was “particularly attached” to “the prevention of conflicts of interest”. “The independence of the ethics officer is a fundamental guarantee” and “the mechanisms relating to compliance with the rules of ethics work”, she added.
