France, Ukraine and Belgium make their tournament debut

Three years after the elimination by Switzerland, at the round of 16 stage, the Blues return to the European Nations Championship this Monday. The French team – unfortunate finalist in 2016 – will begin its tournament in Düsseldorf with a match that it enters as a favorite, against Austria.

Earlier today, Romania and Ukraine will face off in Munich. This meeting is not the most attractive on paper, but its winner could already open the doors wide to the round of 16. The two teams are placed in an undecided Group E, alongside Belgium and Slovakia.

These two nations face each other on Monday in Frankfurt. Still looking for a first international title since the 2020 Olympic Games, the Belgians will advance as favorites in the wake of Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Jérémy Doku.
