France warns of risks of military escalation in the Middle East

(Reuters) – France recommended on Friday that its nationals “absolutely refrain” from traveling in the coming days to Iran, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories “faced with the risks of military escalation”, after threats of reprisals from Tehran against the Jewish state.

In a message broadcast on

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei, has promised to “punish” Israel in response to the killing of seven members of the Revolutionary Guard Corps in a strike attributed to Israel against the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1.

The Jewish state says it is ready to prepare for any scenario and threatens Iran with reprisals in the event of an attack on its soil.
