Franck Lavier, acquitted of Outreau, sent back to the assizes for the rape of one of his daughters

Franck Lavier, one of the acquitted of the Outreau case, is referred to the Pas-de-Calais assizes for acts of “Rape and sexual assault” on one of his daughters, then aged between 15 and 16, informed the prosecutor on Friday, November 12.

“I confirm the decision to refer Franck Lavier to the Assize Court for acts of rape and sexual assault”Boulogne-sur-mer prosecutor Guirec Le Bras told France-Presse (AFP) agency, confirming information from Parisian, without further details.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the prosecution requested in this case, last July, the referral of Mr. Lavier to the criminal court for acts of sexual assault, committed between September 2015 and May 2016. The case had started. in 2016 with a report from National Education sent to the prosecution, “Reporting revelations of sexual assault on young C., aged 16”, according to the statements of the prosecution at the time. Franck Lavier, for his part, has always contested any aggression against his daughter.

Sentenced in 2012 for usual violence

Now 43 years old, Franck Lavier was with his wife Sandrine one of the accused in Outreau. He was acquitted by the Paris Court of Appeal in 2005, after being sentenced in 2004 to six years in prison for the rape of his stepdaughter and sexual assault on four children, by the Assize Court of Saint -Omer (Pas-de-Calais).

In 2011, two of the five Lavier children, a boy and a girl aged 10 and 11 – who were placed during their parents’ incarceration in the Outreau case – denounced mistreatment without a sexual character, after having run away. and have been placed with a childminder.

A video dating from March 2009 – taken during a drunken party and featuring more or less naked adults simulating sexual acts in the presence of children – was then seized at the Laviers’ home, during a search following the discovery of these facts.
Subsequently, new searches revealed other photos and videos of half a dozen similar parties, between 2008 and 2009.

The Lavier couple were sentenced, in 2012, to ten and eight months in prison suspended for usual violence, but acquitted of the charge of corruption of minors.
