This Wednesday, the Minister of Health François Braun will deliver the conclusions of the health section of the National Council for Refoundation. Launched in October 2022 by Emmanuel Macron, it should make it possible to respond to the many challenges to strengthen the French health system.

Solving the hospital crisis and fighting against medical deserts is one of the other projects of Emmanuel Macron’s five-year term. The Minister of Health François Braun will draw up the expected assessment of the CNR Santé this Wednesday. Launched in October 2022 by the President of the Republic, it promises concrete solutions to improve access to healthcare in France. What is this National Refoundation Council for?

Solutions on a local scale

The idea was to start from the field to understand the problems of access to care in the territories. Since October, the Ministry of Health has organized 250 meetings throughout the territory, with health actors and citizens.

Thanks to these collective work sessions, solutions applied at the local level were retained. These measures will be brought together in a sort of “toolbox” that the Minister of Health will unveil on Wednesday. Health professionals will be able to draw from it and adapt to their territory an action that has worked elsewhere. All the solutions adopted will be presented this Wednesday in front of more than 200 players in the health system, users and associations.
