Monday March 21, 2022, François Cluzet was invited to the program En aparté, on Canal +. Annoyed by the positions of Fabrice Luchini and Jean-Marie Bigard, the actor gave a huge rant.
Over the past two years, François Cluzet has been very annoyed by the comments of Fabrice Luchini and Jean-Marie Bigard on the government and the management of the crisis. On the set of the show As an asideon Canal +, the actor thus dropped: “They are jerks! I have nothing else to say, they are idiots! I don’t mince my words, again… It happens to me to be stupid and it has happened to me perhaps more times than to others, but there, they are stupid because they jump at the opportunity of the pandemic.“Taking on the comedian, the actor assured:”I openly think so, they are megalos! And the other high school jerk running for President of the Republic, saying, ‘You all ***.’ But it’s not okay? Where are these guys from? Let them leave us alone. We’re screwed enough. They give us hope.“
Not understanding that Fabrice Luchini and Jean-Marie Bigard give so much of their opinion on politics, François Cluzet said: “We are actors. We are at the service of the public. We are here to teach them joy and offer them something. We’re not here to show off. We do not care. Crush yourself. Are you in government? Do you want her instead? It bothers me. I did my number a bit, but to tell you that I’m keen on the megalos, because in addition, those people don’t give a good idea of us performers.“
François Cluzet: “They are egocentric”
Assuring that the two stars were not working together with partners as they should, the actor revealed: “We are performers, we are not alone on stage. We are partners. Neither of them is a partner. They give nothing to each other. I know it, I played with them (…) They are egocentric, navel-gazing, megalomaniacs, but frankly, they give a terrible image of this profession. Whereas me, the chance that I have, it is that I know the great artists of the theater and the cinema. I know them, I hang out with them and I try to bring my very small stone to the building so that the film is successful. And not to show my face by saying: ‘Did you see…’“
