In 2015, during an interview with Psychologies Magazine, Thomas Dutronc made rare confidences about his childhood, thus evoking his parents Jacques Dutronc and Françoise Hardy. We learn in particular in this interview that the latter, who is celebrating her 80th birthday today, was a very present mother, “always worried” about him. The singer then gave an example: “Around the age of 6 or 7, she gave me injections every two weeks because I always had colds. Meanwhile, my father smokes cigars like a fireman all day long!“
Today, the roles have unfortunately been reversed. At the end of November, Thomas Dutronc gave news of his mother, who worried about him when he was little, but for whom he therefore worries now. “Mom is not well. Father and son had a superb tour.
A month later, Françoise Hardy rarely spoke in the pages of Paris Match, revealing to our colleagues that she was experiencing a real “nightmare”. Note that even more recently, after having questioned Emmanuel Macron in a letter on the subject of euthanasia, she made some confidences to Gala on Jacques, the father of Thomas Dutronc, declaring in particular: “I couldn’t stand him going to the afterlife before me.” A sentence which proves the very strong bond she kept with the artist.
