Franklin storm: here are the 37 departments on yellow alert for strong winds

Storm Franklin circulates in France this Monday, February 21 with gusts of up to 140 km / h. Météo France has placed many departments on violent yellow vigilance.

Initially, there were 70 of them, but the alert was lifted at 9 a.m. on Monday February 21 or in the afternoon for some of them.

But for many of them the threat remains. It will be necessary to wait until the end of the day, or even the night from Monday to Tuesday, for this yellow vigilance for violent wind to be lifted.

Violent gusts were recorded in the north of France, the strongest having been recorded at 176 km / h at Cape Gris-Nez (Pas-de-Calais) Sunday, February 20.

If the Franklin storm has, for the moment, done less damage than the Eunice storm (which caused sixteen deaths in northern Europe), Météo France still calls for caution.
