Frauke Ludowig: This is how she reacts to the bodyshaming of the haters

Moderator Frauke Ludowig counters the "feet discussion" that flared up after she posted a swimsuit photo: "This is SICK!"

Moderator Frauke Ludowig (56) doesn't let nasty bodyshaming sit on her. After posting a vacation photo of herself in a red swimsuit on Instagram two days ago, a wave of "malicious" comments spilled over her. The TV woman published what she had to read among other things in a new post on Monday: "You should be ashamed of your crippled feet", "Your feet look scary", "Your feet are really disgusting (sic)" etc .

Ludowig describes the stumbling block as follows: "Since I posted a holiday snapshot on Friday, on which the right foot may look somewhat funny due to the angle of view, a 'discussion' about my feet has actually started!" Due to the viewing angle and the play of light and shadow, it looks a little bit as if the little toe was quite long and hid under the others.

Whatever her feet look like in reality, the presenter sings a loving praise to her: "My feet. Those that have been carrying me through my beautiful life for many years. Healthy. Perhaps they are not the most beautiful. But they belong me and i love her, without ifs and buts! "

Stop bodyshaming!

She takes the whole number "really with a lot of humor", continues Ludowig. She has been in public for so many years, she doesn't care. "But what does such bodyshaming do to people who don't have such thick fur?", She says. It is sad that "some cannot bear that feet do not conform to the norm". She also questions herself publicly: "What drives people on social networks to abuse others" and to become "haters"? "Don't be so mean and bad and vicious with other people! This is SICK! Nothing else!"

In the end she has another advice – not only for the toe haters: "Live with what you have! Be happy to be healthy … so many would like to have a few healthy feet, but they don't have them! " And with these extremely positive words, she dismisses the readers of her post: "We are all unique. Everyone is special. Let us celebrate that. Every day anew."
